The Comparison Of Fast Break Applying Between Chinese And Foreign Men Basketball Teams In The 29^th Olympic Games

In the 29th Olympic Games, the Chinese men's basketball was the eighth-place, but its performance was not satisfactory. During the Games, the Chinese team's used a small number of fast break tactics, and the success rate was not high.This paper attempts to research the 21 matches that 6 games between China and its competitors and 15 games among the top seven teams in the 29th Olympic Games Basketball. As back field rebounds and steals the major sources of fast attack tactics, to analyze the situation of using fast-break in the basketball competition. Comparing success and failure in different forms and stages of fast-break, to identify the gap between Chinese team with a seven fast-break tactics in detail. Combined with its own staffing and tactics of play features, analysis from a personal and a team of internal and external cause, to identify shortcomings and to sum up the experience. Using the methods of literature data, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics, research methods such as video observation and so on, to observe, sum up and analyze the usage of fast-break appeared in the 29th Olympic Games and the Chinese men's basketball and the top seven, and comparative analysis.Conclusions were as follows:1 There is no clear difference between China and foreign men basketball teams in the major rebounds sources of fast attack tactics. There were significant differences in the fast-break scores and the proportion of fast-break points between them.2 There were significant differences in the proportion of failures in launched and provided assistance to stage of back field rebounds and steals fast-break between China and foreign men basketball teams. The main reasons are the moves of Chinese regular assistance staff and the location of irregular assistance staff are disadvantaged for fast-break launch.3 There were no significant differences in the proportion of failures in forward phase between China and foreign men basketball teams. Because the time is short and the distance is long relatively, it is disturbed by defender easily for fast-break.4 There were no significant differences in the proportion of failures in the end of phase of back field rebounds fast-break between China and foreign men basketball teams. However, in fast-break outcome indicators, there is big proportion of being not fouled and shot not enter in China team. when attacked basket, players were confronted with the defenders, Chinese team members physically is not dominant, they can not fully achieve the desired level of technology, so that field goals percentage is not high.
