| Informationization is sweeping all over the world and bringing the great changes of the teaching technology. The entrance of movie & TV resources has changed the previous status of teaching for the geography textbook which is used as the only resource of information in geography classroom. It is the important part of the innovation of teaching method as well as the improvement of the teaching situation. It's also the important symbol for the modernization of education. It's suitable to the geography course characteristics of middle school and the rules of development of physical and mental of the middle school students. Movie & TV resources have freed the spirits of the teenagers. They have been acknowledged by most of the geography teachers and been widely used in the teaching for the increasing incomparable advantages.I have investigated and analyzed about the current use of the situation of movie & TV resource in geography class. According to the questionnaire from 318 students in Zhabei No. 2 Middle School and 85 geography teachers in Zhabei District and Baoshan District, it has the important practical significance of strengthening the use of movie & TV resources in geography class of middle school. Meanwhile, there are still many problems to be solved such as the related theory being weak, the difficulty of collecting the data, unsuitable selection and use of movie & TV resources, and the method of using being single. According to the problems above, I'll mainly choose the aspects such as the collection, the effective selection and the effective usage to study how to use the movie & TV resources to achieve the effect of its use in geography classroom.There are plenty of movie & TV resources on the TV and Internet. We should be a careful person in our daily life. We should have a reasonable teaching design before we have a lesson which the movie & TV resources will be used as the supplementary method. We should select the typical materials and pay close attention to the contents about the student's interests, hot spots, the nearest, aesthetic, etc. If we do like that, the purpose of attracting the students'attention and training students'ability and optimizing the classroom teaching can be achieved. Movie & TV resources in the classroom should have a variety of presentation. That can increase the flexibility so as to adapt to the different teaching contents and teaching needs. The use of movie & TV resources in teaching segment has different kinds of effects. The use of movie & TV resources in different teaching mode will highlight the advantages of situation creation, Simulation and reappearance. It can enable students to trend to the wider life while embody subjective role of students in teaching process.
