LEGO Robot Instruction of The north Zhongshan Road Primary School is the first Experiment of The Conceptual age teaching. As the pupil's trait is lively, assembling robots in elementary school is very popular. They can take out hundreds of different forms of ducks using only six blocks. Good combination and scalability of LEGO blocks give well platform to cultivate the pupils'conceptual ability. Semia, The North Zhongshan Road Primary School and Shanghai Normal University make up the WEDS project team. WEDS is the abbreviation of We Enjoy, Design, Share , and it refers to the Wisdom as the theme of the robot teaching activities. The main idea of the project is to cultivate the students'conceptual ability, learn from doing and achieve common success.Specifically, this study was completed the following tasks:1. Analysis characteristic of the conceptual age, the definition and cultivating methods of conceptual ability.2. Design conceptual teaching strategies and LEGO robot materials.3. Collect the first-hand data, including the teacher's interview, recording, video, students'interview and their works etc.4. Analysis the teaching effect, summarize the practice of the whole semester, and propose the prospects.
