As an integral part of physics, experiment plays an important role in physics-teaching.However, some rural middle schools and teachers, owing to different kinds of reasons, do not attach great importance to physics experiment teaching, which affects students′development of physics learning abilities. There- fore, it is important to do some research on physical experiment teaching of middle schools in the countryside. On the base of the investigation of the rural junior middle schools of Fuzhou Area in Jiangxi Province, especially those in poor mountainous areas, this paper detailedly analyzes the subjective and objective factors which influence and restrict the physics experiment teaching and attempts to provide some evidences for the backward situation of the teaching and reformation of physics in rural middle schools of Fuzhou Area. Secondly, the investigation shows that there are some serious problems in exploring and using curriculum resources for physical experiments in junior middle schools of Fuzhou Area. The teachers have vague ideas of the experiment course resources and the experiment course resources are not put into effective use. The material resources for experiment are in seriors shortage and the development of the experiment resources are unorganized and disordered. As for these problems, the paper offers some suggestions. Furthermore, the teaching-evaluatation system of physics experiment is monolithic, for the middle schools fail to construct a pluralistc and evolving teaching-evaluatation system according to Physics Curriculum Criterion. Under this circumstance, their teaching-evaluatation systems won′t help to fundamentally change the students′ways of learning and the teachers′ways of teaching, on account of the weak present situation of physics experiment teaching, the professional growth of physics teacher is of great significance. Reinforcing the development and utilizationg of experiment curriculum resources and establishing the comprehensive evaluation system of self-valuing, group-valuing and teacher-valuing are the breakthroughs as well as important ways to change the unpleasant situation of physics experiment teaching in present rural junior middle schools.
