A study on cultivation of creative quality for students in the process of high-school biology teaching is described in this dissertation. We use multiple methods in this study including bibliography reviewing, experiment, questionnaire, examination, psychological statistics. To obtain the bi-purpose of improving both creative quality and test scores for students, a cultivating mechanism on cultivation of creative quality for students in the process of high-school biology teaching was carried out and then applied in practices based on the current research situation of cultivation of creative quality in both theory and practice. We also designed a comparing experiment to evaluate the effectiveness of the cultivation, which involves obtaining the data reflecting the changed creative abilities through examination appraisals and psychological statistics. The data was processed with software SPSS15.0.The study consists of 5 sections, involving introduction, mechanism of cultivation of creative quality, cultivation of creative quality in teaching activities, implementation of cultivation of creative quality and the effectiveness of cultivation of creative quality. In section 1, the concept of creative quality is defined at first and the mechanism of its formation is described. Then, the current status of studies on its theory and practice is concluded. At last, the proposition, the importance and the origination of this work are demonstrated. In section 2, the principles of cultivation of creative quality for students in the process of high-school biology teaching is proposed through an analysis of its formation mechanism and elements in class activities. The section 3 is cultivation of creative quality in teaching activities. Central to the creative education is self-learning, problem-solvating, practicing and virtual experiencing, which are analyzed in the process of manipulation. The four creative education are used to reproduce the scientific history, to model the biology science, to design the experiment, to manipulate the experiment and to design the whole creativity activities in high-school biology textbook. The section 4 is implementation of cultivation of creative quality, which mainly described the designed class activities. Concrete tactics are proposed to improve students'creative quality from creating class atmosphere, cultivating scientific spirit, cultivating knowledge-structuring ability, cultivating questioning ability and cultivating research ability. Section 5 is the effectiveness of cultivation of creative quality, which mainly describes the evaluation of the cultivation of creative quality using a method of appraising creative quality. A comparing experiment concerning the pre- and post-cultivation of creative quality is carried out and the data is analyzed in quantity to evaluate the effectiveness of the cultivation. The experimental result indicates that the cultivation of creative quality is effective.Four original results are included in this dissertation: a proposed mechanism on cultivation of creative quality in the process of high-school biology teaching; a design on cultivation of creative quality for students in the process of biology teaching based on high-school textbook; the implementation on cultivation of creative quality for students in the process biology teaching using its mechanism; a statistical and mathematical study on the effectiveness of cultivating creative quality using psychology and examination evaluation of creative quality.
