Reasoning is often involved in problem-solving process. Reasoning is the basis of problem-solving. Reasoning also expands a very important role in a person' s access to new experiences and new knowledge. At the same time, reasoning ability is one of the five capacity in college entrance test. Therefore, to study the difference of the high school students' capacity of using reasoning strategy in chemical reasoning questions has great significance. In my paper, i first set out the importance of the reasoning in the chemical study, chemical research and the ield of education. Through the methods of literature i defined several important concepts and introduced several types of reasoning and the corresponding theory, reasoning models and the ways. Then i carried out empirical research, that allows students to do the test volume. Through SPSS15.0 software for statistical analysis of data, we came to the following conclusions:1. The ability of high school students' using reasoning strategies in the process of solving chemical reasoning questions is different.2. The form of problem, the level of chemical knowledge and their own reasoning ability influence the ability of the use of reasoning strategies:(1) Highlighting the keywords, tips given language and problem in the order closer can help students to improve students' reasoning strategy capabilities.(2) The capacity of students' using reasoning strategy and the level of students' chemical knowledge is a positive correlation.(3) The capacity of students' using reasoning strategy and their own reasoning ability is a positive correlation. Finally, on this basis, i combined with references and made some suggestions on how to train students to use the strategy of reasoning.
