With the advent of the web2.0 cyber-times, BLOG, SNS and other network applications has been gradually familiar to and put into use by people. With explicit characteristics such as individual-centered and microcontent, web2.0 has created a new network environment that is quite different from web1.0. besides this, impacts of network applications such as BLOG and SNS on societies and individuals in aspects of transmission and psychology have caught attention of scholars in the academic circle. Xiaonei.com is a campus SNS website with most users, and studies on Xiaonei.com have been expanded to its communication content, transmission mode, transmission effects , users'psychology and many other aspects. The interpretation of self, which is a conception in the psychology area, is multi-dimensional. When there is a connection between self and network, the multi-dimension of self and the controllability of network can bring a new Virtual Self. By referencing to related studies on Virtual Self in BLOG, this article deduces that Virtual Self in SNS should get evolved with actual self as the base. The article also defines the concept of self-image with reference to related theories. It is believed that self-image is a person's impression on himself or herself as a whole. Self image is the comprehensive recognition of physical self, social self and psychological self. According to Dramaturgical theory, individuals in a social group can do social performance and have optimum management of self image with or without any consciousness. The emergence of network provides a stage that is different from real life for individuals to create self image. Among all network users, college students as a group with bright characteristics and important status should be concerned by researchers.By conducting a survey on users of Xiaonei in universities and colleges in Changchun, this article tends to summarize and describe the virtual self image of college students in Changchun in Xiaonei.com and their actual self images in real life. It makes a comparison between these two self images and discusses factors that compose virtual self images of college students in xiaonei website and interactive influences of actual self image and virtual self image, with the following results:1.The actual self image of college students is composed of body image, capability, self-cultivation, values and relationship. It is found that college students in contemporary times have a high self-evaluation. Self quality and self ornament are two important factors that influence the level of self evaluation.2.In this survey, the virtual self image of college students in Changchun is characterized by magnifying several factors, overlooking some factors such as study, economic condition, gender and image. The frequency of browsing the website and its motive are important factors that influence the creation of virtual self image.3. The creation of virtual self image is based on actual self image. It has become a stage that college students make complete what they lose in real life, at the same time, it has a certain positive effect on real life, though the effect is minor and the influence is slow.
