University of China in the 21st century ushered in an unprecedented career opportunities and good situation, but also facing tough new challenges. University teachers are to achieve the strength and source of ideas, not only cultural knowledge transfer and to continually participate in social activities, by virtue of their scientific, cultural, economic and political foresight to serve the community. Today's China is no doubt the challenges facing colleges and universities as well as a test of university teachers. From the perspective of role theory, the role of university teachers of contemporary diversity and complexity is unprecedented group of university teachers in China who are actively trying to cope with, adapt to these changes, however, as a result of a specific role of university teachers they often fall into the role of the status of the plight .This will certainly affect the teaching of university teachers results and the impact of higher education goals. This article is from the perspective of role theory to analyze the current role of university teachers of the difficulties with the hope of building for the teachers, the elimination of the role of the plight of the provision of reference.This article consists of five parts:Introduction: introduces the topic of background, research methods and research ideas.Chapter I: The concept of the relevant "role", "teacher's role", "the role of university teachers" to define and sort out the role of university teachers recalled the history of the development.Chapter II: Analysis of the contemporary university teachers in the process of role-playing a variety of difficulties. Analysis of the role of university teachers focuses on the plight of the meaning of their forms and manifestations.Chapter III: From the external factors and factors both within and outside the university teacher's own analysis of the two dimensions of the plight of university teachers in the role of reasons.Chapter IV: the role of university teachers according to performance of the plight of the reasons of form and analysis, make recommendations to eliminate the role of the plight of university teachers strategy.
