Current Status And Future Strategies For The Competitive Breaststroke Race In China

At the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games,the Chinese sports delegation has created the historic record once more.Since attention to the Olympic Games officially in 1984,the athletic sports project about the Olympic Games have obtained rapid development and a series of achievement which attracted the worldwide attention.The swimming race,which is only inferior to the track and field events,is the second biggest sport in the world. Because of its many gold medals,it is said that "who earns the most gold medals in athletics and swimming race,who will be the first in the games".For exhibiting the sports' strength,each country hopes to consolidate the status of the sports by earning in the swimming field.The breaststroke race is a traditional superiority project in China,which had made the outstanding progress at each Olympic Games previously.However,with the domestic outstanding swimming athletes retirement,such as Xuejuan Luo and so on,and the young athletes lacking the experience in the important game,it is worrying that our superiority project presents the tendency of the fault.For example,Ye Sun has only obtained 7th in the female 100 meter breaststroke projects at Beijing Olympic Games.As an object of the Chinese high level's breaststroke athletes,through the methods of the literature material,statistics and logic,contrastive analysis,et al,this article reorganizes and analyses the grade and place in a competition,and current status for the competitive breaststroke race in China,contrasting with the development condition of breaststroke in Olympic Games.The affects factor of our breaststroke development are analysis,some experiences and the insufficiency are summarized in Chinese athletics swimming developing process.It is for the purpose to provide some references in order to enhance the Chinese breaststroke athletics level and explore some future strategies for the competitive breaststroke race in China.This research show:1.It presents that the Chinese breaststroke athletes have already gone into the world advanced athletics level,but is not balanced in the level of the overall athletics development.2.Although there are a lot of domestic players in Breaststroke,the elite players are fewer, whose level is unbalanced and fluky.3.Because of the lack domestic competition in swimming and little chance to exercise, Chinese players lack the ability to keeping a high standard for the competition,which is difficult to adapt to the fierce intensity and rhythm of the competition in the world championships,Olympic Games and other international competition.4.There are some main problems in Chinese competitive breaststroke project,including: the training system,training concepts,tools,methods are a larger gap with the world level;the overall quality and business level of coaches have to be strengthened;and the research personnel and the protection of swimming is not high;the exercise groups with high-level are lack;the qualified personnel reserve are short seriously; low penetration;,The domestic competition are few and single formally.5.The future strategies for the competitive breaststroke race in China are list as follows:5.1 enhancing the training level to improve the overall quality of the coaches.5.2 developing the reserve forces,and strengthening the ideological education of the athletes to extend the life of athletes and improve the overall quality of the athletes.5.3 increasing the combination of the research and training efforts.5.4 strengthening the popularity of swimming games to improve basic talent.
