Regional geography is the starting point and the home for research physical geography and the human geography to return to, and it has provided vivid cases for the research of systematic geography. Many physical geography and human geography's cases have to be based on regional geography and it's concrete geographical things and phenomena, such as the distribution, the characteristics, the origin, the change and so on. Those are all the best"the illustration"or"show"of physical geography and the human geography. While the principles, rules, structure, relation and so on of the systematic geography have to be carried out in the confirmation of the regional geography. Many imagery interpretation skill's training, basic concept's understanding, feature's relation, the geography thing's distribution, spatial concept's establishment, the geography basic concept's establishment and so on should be completed in regional geography's study. Therefore, the region geography's content is the foundation of reviewing geography knowledge.In recent years, the college entrance examination on geography is commonly seen to be based on regional geography, moreover, many of it is seen by the form of subjective topics. (i.e. synthesis questions). In the college entrance examination test, it has the features of the high frequency, entrusted with a high mark, covering broad knowledge, and possessing more answering time. Therefore, regional geography becomes the bottleneck of the examine to obtain the high score in the geography subject.Realizing the influential role of regional geography, the author unifies her own practical teaching experience and summary, proposing some corresponding study and reviewing strategy, and has made certain progress in the teaching.The present paper altogether can be divided into four parts.The first part: Introduction. Mainly it elaborates the research background and the significance.The second part: something about the present situation of the regional geography in senior high school and the influencial elements. The reasons about why it is weak for high-school students in studying regional geography. Through the study method of questionnaire, interview and investigation, this paper objectively analyzes the reasons, they are: the question left over by history junior middle school, the teacher's neglecting the students'studying situations, something about the teacher's professional qualities and teaching abilities and student's studying methods.The third part: The principles of the revision of regional geography in high school. According to the features of regional geography and the students'present situations, three principles of reviewing it was represented.The fourth part:Conclusion and confusion.
