An Analysis Of XiaMianzun's Theory On Love Education

XiaMianzun was a famous writer,editor,translator and a famous educator. As a doyen who had been engaged in Chinese education research for almost 40 years , he left abundent works of Chinese education. During the long study of education theory and practice, Xia Mianzun innovatedand developed the thoughts of the former educationalists and developed the education thoughts of foreigns. This paper will expatiates on his various unique views on love education theory. This paper deals with Xia Mianzun' s Love education theory in four practice aspects:(1) an brief account of history background of Xia Mianzun's love educational theory and his chief works of Chinese literature and the reasons for the love education theory, this including three parts. (2) the practise of his love education theory.(3)the basic of his love education theory : The third part of the love of education to explain the basis of the condition that educators must have significant character: Educators must be full of love: Love is the inherent requirement of teachers: Love is basis to establish a new teacher-student relationship. He stressed the important role of the exchange of emotion in education and teaching. And teacher' s love should be a mature love. Part IV introduces the connotation of love and education: improve student's personality, This includes three aspects: To promote the growth of students life;Nurture the students' love of feelings; Training students' ability to love. Finally, XiaManzun' s love education theory in contemporary inspiration: Love is the origin of education.Xia Mianzun's love education thoery originated from the translational stage when the ancient Chinese education inclined to end and the modern Chinese education germinated. Under the influence of the democracy of "May 4" and scientific thoughts, Xia Mianzun seriously summarized and absorbed the advanced educational theories of ancient Chinese and foreign famous educationalists, he assimilated the western advanced educational achievements actively, he not only gave up the outdated but also innovated the conventional education. His love educating thoughts have profound sense in modern education.
