The creation of the logoes weighs heavily for Beijing Olympic Games,for the logoes should be both involved in the internal chase of Olympiad as well as the particular Chinese tradition,aiming at highlighting the theme of "New Beijing,Great Olympics" and the idea of "Green Olympics,High-tech Olympics and People's Olympics".Olympiad is not only a banquet both of sports and culture,but the display of Olympic logoes to the outside world,which are vital to the related host countries. People home and abroad are looking forward to seeing the Olympic logoes with oriental culture and their wisdom in hoping a valuable legacy to be left for the Olympic design—the point of this essay to be discussed.Anticipating on the appearance of the mascot of Beijing Olympic Games by the people home and abroad,five lovely "Fuwa" with typical Chinese features has fully interpreted the variety of oriental culture in its novel design and profound conventions. This is the first time that the mascot is figured out of animals and humanity, conveying the special affections from Chinese people.The Beijing Olympic Emblem meets the world eyeballs in a breathtaking way with the combination of Olympiad and the distinctive features on Chinese "Seal Culture" handing down through the long history.Involving desperately the daily tradional laces of "Luck Cloud" with paper scroll,the Olympic torch will soon brighten every corner of the world as the slogan——"Light the passion,Share the dream" goes during its harmonious journey on the five continents.From the angle of semiotics,the logoes for international communication of Beijing Olympics are not only visional symbols of humanity,but also an emotional symbol of culture.Based on this view point,the article focuses on the virtue and signified meanings of the major logoes of "Fuwa","Olympic Emblem" and "Luck Cloud" torch respectively,exploring the very point and function by the way of coding and decoding their individual features on the background of the cross cultural communication.The eassy draws a conclusion out of the analysis on the process of the design and creation of three logoes,their profound cultural interpretation as well as their symbolic survey—logoes with national features are likely to be accepted by the world;the theory of semiotics together with creation must be the best way for us to get into the international circle;industrialization will be sure to speed up the international communication of the logoes.
