A Study On Characteristics Of University Student's Social Morality Cognition And Educational Countermeasures

Social morality refers to the value systems and behavior regulations, which is used to reflect and adjust the relation of social interest between strangers in public sphere. Social morality cognition is one of the most important characteristics which influences university student's social morality behavior. The paper reclassifies social morality, divides social morality into social moral concept, image, judgment, investigate 300 university students from freshmen to seniors in DaLian city using questionnaire investigating and interviewing method.. The paper aims at reflecting the characteristics of university student's social morality cognition and putting forward relevant educational countermeasure.This study found that: most of university students'social moral image are events in public daily life, which can be made a judgment by experience. It is not good for forming right social moral concept lack of social morality materials contained substantial social interest. Part of students'cognition for connotation of social morality is narrow and limited. It lack essential factor of concept and doesn't touch the wide social morality sphere, which will limit depth and scope of social morality judgment. Although level of social morality judgment is 3,4 stage, the basis of judgment isn't firm and the level of students'social morality judgment doesn't appear developmental tendency. On this basis, this study puts forward educational suggestion as follow. Use all educational factors expanding horizon of university student's social morality cognition and arrange educational content of social morality rational and orderly; social morality education must grasp key elements of public spirit stimulating development of university student's social morality judgment; design a natural situation of public and private conflict improving the level of university student's social moral judgment.
