PE teachers in Beijing higher education are facing new challenges with the expansion of enrollment in domestic colleges and universities,the development of international higher education,and the full implementation of the curriculum reform. The 29th victory of the Olympic Games held in Beijing,has greatly improved people's attention to sports.P.E.teachers have to keep on learning sports knowledge and skills to improve their own quality and their professional development.However,with some factors,many problems occurred in P.E.teachers' professional development.Focusing on the eight factor such as policies and regulations,leadership management,learning content,training methods,evaluation criteria,learning motivation,learning time and funding,a questionnaire of factors on PE teachers' professional development is designed,which was released to 22 of Beijing's colleges and universities.,with participation of 64 P.E. teachers including professors,associate professors,lecturers, teaching assistants.Using mathematical statistics and logical analysis,the study analyzes the impact of the eight major factors of the specific circumstances.And on this basis,it initially proposes the idea of building the theoretical system of P.E. teachers' professional development in Beijing higher education, trying to improve the theoretical studies of P.E.teachers' professional development to a higher level,to lay a theoretical basis for improving P.E.teachers' quality.It will provide some theoretical reference for improving the quality of physical teaching in Beijing higher education,as well as an impetus for P.E.teachers' professional development.
