A Practical Study On The Factors Affecting The Difficulty Of Mathematics Test Question In China's College Entrance Examination

China's College Entrance Examination(CCEE) is one of the most important large-scale educational examination,as the important means for the nation to extract intellect, it actuall lead and evaluate education and teaching of the high school.The difficulty is an important dimension of test-question and it is the most difficult aspect to control too.so,the work to study factors affecting test-question's difficulty of CCEE is of practical means. But now our study focus on "thought" or "experimental judgment", practical study is faint,thus,it cause many trouble in practical using for the conclusion and method.In this paper, based on literature analysis and live survey, we propose ten factors affecting the difficulty of mathematics test-questions,which are: "situation or context", "problem-solving ideas", "number of knowledge", "combination of topic", "number of steps", "number of comprehending-level checkpoints", "number of analyzing-level checkpoints", "number of hided conditions", "number of solving methods", "number of correct conclusions" etc.In order to inquire these factor's existence and weight, we firstly formulate a measuring tool,then, using 140 mathematics test-questions dates of CCEE, we discuss every factor's existence and weight from three aspects: Correlation Analyse , K-Independent-Samples Test, Regression Analyse and so on.We also survey views of teacher and student about the weight of all factors by live survey and communication.The dates-analysing indicate that 7 factors are obvious,in sequence of importance they are:"problem-solving ideas", "number of comprehending-level checkpoints", "number of analyzing-level checkpoints" ,"number of hided conditions" , "number of correct conclusions", "combination of topic" and "number of knowledges".There are 3 factors whose importance is trivial,they are:"number of steps", "number of solving methods" and "situation or context". The investigation show that students and teachers generally maintain the same view in trend,but they are different on the exact number of weight.Based on Multiple Regression Analyse, we gain a estimating-model for difficulty:P=1-(0.183X1+0.133X2+0.126X3+0.170X4+0.114X5-0.033X6+0.013X7-0.165). This model can predict difficulty in high validity,so it certifise the conclusion's reliability of date-analysing from another aspect.The creation in our paper is : we firstly use Corralation Analyse, K Independent Samples Test,Regression Analyse,T-Test,ANOVA and other mathemetics methods to discuss the factors affacting the math test-question's difficulty in CCEE;we firstly inquire a prediction-modle about difficulty(p) .The shortcoming is:the discussion about many factor need enhancing and others need to be enlarging.
