A Study On Love Affairs Among Female College Students

It has nowadays been a common practice for college students to be in love, as in recent years some relevant laws has permitted college students to be married, which justify the love phenomenon in institutions of higher learning, yet such a phenomenon has caused a series of increasing problems in management and psychology, which ought to be an indispensabie part of the managerial work in institutions of higher learning. In particular, the relatively complicated love issues of female college students deserve more concerns. When they are in love, female college students have demonstrated different values and behaviors, which are mainly influenced by their family background and their early family education. Therefore, for an in-depth understanding of the characteristics of female college students in love and their problems, it is an effective starting point to study their family background.This study, based on qualitative research methods and case study, from the dimensions of family structure, family economic status, family sources as well as the family concept on children's education, firstly describes love attitudes and the overall situation of 13 female college students who grew up in different types of family background, such as their choices of partners, the degree of their emotional investment, single-mindedness, the number of their boyfriends, the length of their love and their closeness to their partners. Then the paper explores and outlines the different attitudes and behavior characteristics of female college students in love with different family backgrounds. Finally the paper offers some valuable suggestions to institutions of higher learning for educating and managing female college students as well as other college students in love. The paper is divided into six parts. The first part is an introduction, including a brief account of the origin, the purpose, the significance, the literature review, the content and the methods of this study. Section from the second to the fifth describe and analysis the love situation of 13 female college students who are born with different family structures, different economic levels and different conception towards marriage; the sixth is the conclusiong of the paper.The study has found that the female college students with different family background have great individual differences in their love attitude and love behavior. As a result, in higher education management, we should attach importance to family' pre-shaping role in the female college students' love, and emphasize the importance of emotional education for them.
