The co-existence of the gathering of excellent teachers in cities and the lack of teachers in the countryside reflects the imbalance of educational resources, which has affected the fairness of education. In order to balance educational resources, the exchange of teachers between city schools and countryside schools becomes an inevitable choice both in theory and in practice. Based on the summary of existing researches, this thesis makes a special research on the adaptability of city teachers after they are exchanged to countryside schools.Firstly, from the angel of adaptability, the author has made a systematic investigation into exchange teachers' (both in primary schools and middle schools in Yibin) transportation, living, living surroundings, teaching workload, the condition of teaching environment of countryside schools, the thought of being exchanged and so on. It has been found out that those teachers can not adapt themselves to those things.Secondly, by analyzing the above problems of inadaptability, the author has found out the following main causes: first, the difficult education environment of countryside schools, that is, comparatively poor sponsoring conditions and teaching staff; second, the inadequate enforcement of the policy of exchanging teachers between city schools and countryside schools, enforced; third, the rebellious mind caused by the policy of exchanging teachers; fourth, the failure to recognize the importance of exchanging teachers from the level of balancing educational resources, promoting educational fairness and developing the society harmoniously; fifth, aimless exploration in the practice of exchanging teachers caused by the lack of scientific guide in theory, which usually leads to the embarrassing situation that a policy is made after a problem arises.Thirdly, the author furtherly analyses the positive significance of eliminating the negative influence of teachers' inadaptability after they are exchanged to countryside schools. Those teachers' inadaptability and its influence on teaching work will lead to the following bad effects: firstly, it will make teachers have rebellious mind of being exchanged to countryside schools; secondly, it fails to give effective play to the good effects of exchanging teachers, which is opposite to the original intention of balancing educational resources; thirdly, exchange teachers' inadaptability will affect their teaching effect, which will harm teachers' image as a whole; fourth, those teachers' inadaptability will greatly decrease the effect of teacher's exchange between city schools and countryside schools and affect further exchange and communication. Finally, based on the summary of existing practice, the survey of existing research and the reference to the related foreign experiences, some countermeasures are provided to improve exchange teachers' adaptability, including perfecting the policy of exchanging teachers on the systematic level, stimulating teachers' enthusiasm for the exchange on the level of the subject of the change, creating favorable circumstances for teachers' exchange on the environmental level, improving working conditions of countryside schools and so on.
