At present, with the development of teaching research of high school English, writing teaching of English more and more attracts the attention of linguists and teaching researchers. English writing is one of four basic language skills. The level of writing is the comprehensive reflection of all kinds of skills. Now, the writing situation of high school writing is not optimistic. All of the problems, from teaching course to teaching methods, from teaching ways to teaching effect, are worth investigating. Traditional writing method enters word description step directly from the idea step, which wastes time but could not reach the expected effect; what's worse, however hard you try to think, it is hard to set about writing. Although you could write some sentence, you could not make it an article. In order to change this situation, this paper starts from a brief analysis of the development and situation of writing patterns of foreign language writing, conducts deep research about the common problems in the course of writing, puts forward a solution of speaking before writing to reach the aim of improving English writing and makes students form a right habit of English writing, and therefore improves the ability of written language.
