The Research On Application Of 3G Based Mobile Learning To Field Practice

Along with fusion of mobile communication technologies and computer technology, mobile learning was produced as a new type of learning technique and method. The meaning of mobile learning is that the learners use any equipments and techniques, in any place, at any time, can have the opportunity to enrich their learning. Mobile Learning has become another very important complement to the traditional ways of learning after digital-learning , it is the one of research focus in the field of education technology. The development of the third generation mobile communication technology 3G provides a more adequate technical basis for mobile learning. How full and effective use of the third generation mobile communication technology to assist any kind of teaching and learning become an important research part of mobile learning .The thesis generalizes mobile learning and its characteristics, and analysizes the application fields of mobile learning firstly, summarizes the characteristics of application field to which mobile learning apply sucessfully and the limitation of mobile learning research in China. On this basis, the thesis presents a new application field of mobile learning which suit for China's national conditions and characteristics of mobile learning, namely, applying mobile learning to field practice study. Finally, the thesis presents a general model of mobile learning system resources based on 3G mobile environment by analysizing characteristics of field practice study comprehensively from learners and the instructor's perspective, combining software engineering ideas, using Unified Modeling Language UML. And some resources model prototype is realized by using .NET mobile development platform and database technology.Specific research content of the thesis is as follows:(1) Analysis on the characteristics and needs of filed practice study.(2) The features of 3G and its related technology advantage for mobile learning application.(3)Taking filed practice study as an example, develop a general model of mobile learning resources construction based on 3G mobile environment.At the end of the thesis summarizes the results and imperfection of this research and outlook the possibility of follow-up research direction.
