At present, the fundamental education reform has brought our schools and teachers totally new challenges, as well as precious advantages for development. Political and Ideological Education Office (PIEO) is a main department for student management, and it functions as the center of school student management system. Moreover, the running of this department includes the rules of moral education, and implies the need of moral education reform and innovation. The implement and deepening of moral education reform puts new requirements to traditional PIEO manager. PIEO manager must review and reconstruct their roles, and awake the sense of self-awareness, in order to achieve teacher-student development though continual reviewing and updating. Taking character theory as point of view, this paper tries to figure out basic principles for morel education in secondary schools and practice them in PIEO manager's daily work through rebuilding the path from traditional PIEO manager based on experience to modern one based on research.As the crucial strength of school moral educators as well as the important member of moral education leaders in school, we should pay attention to their growing, development and improvement. PIEO manager should hold clear education brief, face the reality of moral education, respect the uniqueness, comprehensiveness and complexness of moral education practice, and pursue and indicate the positive interaction between morality education theory and practice. 'The character rebuilding of PIEO manager' is the process of updating concept, optimizing and adjusting practice and finally acknowledging the role after exact self-definition.This paper consists of three parts.The first chapter discusses the background, values, forces, literature review, structure of the paper, as well as research methodology.The second chapter reveals the real condition of the role-playing of secondary school PEEO manager, and analyzes the character expected by headmaster, student as well as other relative groups as well as the character-conflict of himself. This chapter explores the background of PIEO manager character-rebuilding from outside and inside needs.On the basis of previous practice-research and analysis, the third chapter puts forward the goal, content, statements and insurance of PIEO manager character-rebuilding. It is the conclusion of this paper.
