The theory of multiple intelligences put forward by Professor Gardner,which has the original concept and a wide system of intelligence and a new idea of education and teaching, not only greatly influences the teaching staff of many countries, but has an important value of reference and guidance to reforms of education and teaching in our country. So it has certain significance in theory and practice that we use the theory of multiple intelligences to guide the improvement of biology teaching in senior high school. The study elaborated in this thesis just starts from the opinion.On the basis of thoroughly understanding the theory of multiple intelligence, its main viewpoints of education and evaluation ,and etc, refering to the informed research and exploraion of some experts and teachers at home and abroad, I firstly analyse the merits and limitations of the current teaching methods of biology teaching in senior high school , and then prove the feasibility and necessity of regarding the theory of multiple intelligence as a guidiance in the teacing of senior high biology. Then beginning from and ending with the theory of multiple intelligence, I design the teaching plan of the required module 1 and 2 of the new version of the senior high biology. In the design I put special emphasis on the using of multi-scene teaching, method of solving-question and the strategy of combining the two above. At the beginning of the new term, I give a test of self-assessment on multiple intelligence to my four classes. The software spss test shows that there are slight differences between the two paralleled classes. Two of them can be contasting classes, and the other two can be experimental classes. After this I have a practical teaching research for a year. During this, the experimental classes are taught under the guidiance of the theory of multiple intelligences, while the other two are taught with the traditional teaching designs. At the end of the term, the students are given another self-assessment. Analyzed by the SPSS, all of the four classes have some improvement, but the experimental two makes much more progress. There are obvious differences between the two classes. The different teaching methods---traditional biology teaching method, the one of multiple intelligences, result in this.According to this, I think it's good for the development of the students' intelligence to educate them with the theory of multiple intelligences at the stage of senior high school. Combining the theory of multiple intelligences with the teaching of senior high biology is completely feasible and effective. Furthermore, it contributes to enriching and improving the teaching methods of senior high biology,as well as the change of the leanring method of students and our teachers' specialization.
