In recent years, English classroom focuses on the development of communicative competence, featuring in learner-centered. Although Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) has emerged as a significant approach during the development of the language, the surprising thing about these studies is that discussions of how tasks are carried out in secondary schools settings are few and far between. In this thesis, the writer tries to find an effective classroom interactive mode-TBLT classroom mode. It offers a change from the grammar practice routines through which many learners have previously failed to learn to communicate, which is goal-oriented and learner-centered. In the light of all these researches and achievements that have achieved and according to the specific way of inquisition analysis and my several years of English teaching practice in the secondary school, this thesis aims to probe into the problems of secondary school students'English classes guided by the TBLT Approach. Of the two years'research, the writer also finds some problems in the classroom teaching, which is still teacher-centered and test-centered and main point is still focused on instructing grammars and structures. As a result, students have no interest in their study at all and therefore their learning outcome is far from satisfactory. This way of teaching severely frustrates students'initiative and restrains the development of students'potential and creativity. Therefore, the writer concludes that secondary school teachers should make the students'basic knowledge stronger and develop their four language abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, laying emphasis on the training of their all abilities, so that they can have a solid foundation for the further studies and for the use of English in the future. This thesis contains five chapters, which is designed for discussing the importance of task-based language teaching and expresses my research on the task-based language teaching through the experiment. In chapter one, I state many problems in the traditional methods and the necessity of the reform in English classrooms. The thesis focuses on the analyses of the present syllabus and the situation in English classroom interaction mode—TBLT classroom as well as pair work. Therefore, I put forward the necessities to do the research on the classroom model. In chapter 2, some theoretical studies give the theory's foundation. They include pedagogical arguments, psycholinguistic rationale and psychological theories. Chapter3 is about the research that I did by using the TBLT approach and traditional methods during the two years. I got 100 students as my subjects that are from the No.3 Vocational and Secondary School, and the Commercial and Service Secondary School, which I used in questionnaires, examinations and interviews to get sufficient primal data to compare and analyze attitudes, motivation and difficulties effect of learning English. I also discussed the teachers'roles, the students'roles and the activities designed in English classrooms. Chapter 4 is data collection and analysis, which will be dealt with in details. In chapter 5, I also put forward some result analysis, implications, limitation and suggestions for further research.
