With the formation of a knowledge-based economy era, the curriculum reformation of secondary schools is urgently required; the high middle schools should assume the important task of nurturing the high-qualified nationals with creative spirit and practical ability. Accordingly, the curriculum reformation which based on the theory of constructivism has been conducted in the high middle schools in 2004. Teachers, as the main implementers of the curriculum reformation, should acquire high professional qualities. So the teachers'professional development under the requirements of the curriculum reformation should be attached importance. Teaching is the primary way of developing teachers'professional quality so that the teaching theory will play an important role in the training of teachers'professional quality. Therefore, the strategies for developing the teachers'professional qualities should based on the teaching theories of constructivism to cater for the current curriculum reformation. But what new requirements for the teachers'professional development have been put forward by the present curriculum reformation? What problems of the trainings for teachers'professional development? What kinds of training strategies based on the teaching theory of constructivism should be adopted for the teachers'pre-service training. The study is carried out focusing on those three main questions and it consists of four chapters with the main content as follows:First, demonstrate the background of the high school curriculum reformation and generalize the objective and the basic characteristics of it, then analyze the new requirements of it to the teachers'professional qualities.Second, based on analyzing the important role that the teaching theories play in the teachers'professional qualities'development, the connotation and the basic characteristics have been elaborated. Then, the relationship between the constructivism teaching and the new curriculum of high school has been probed while the requirements of the constructivism teaching theories for the teachers'professional qualities have been analyzed.Third, from the previous research, combining with the investigation for the five typical middle schools in Jiang Xi province, the current situation of the middle school teachers'professional qualities and the problems in teachers'professional training have been analyzed.Fourth, with the guidance of the constructivism teaching theories, the correspondent strategies have been put forward for the teachers'professional quality training. And the strategies are focused on the setting of the training objective, updating of the teaching theories, improving of the curriculum systems and teaching process, creating the humanistic environment and etc.
