As an important phenomena in individuals' career development, career plateau is of great influence on individuals' career and organization's development. Researches abroad on career plateau started in 1970s, but were mainly limited in organizations and enterprises. Studies on theteachers' career plateau were embeded in the theoretical inquiry of teachers' career development. Inrecent years, some researchers at home and abroad began to focus on teachers' career plateau, but most based on the view point of pedagogy while few on psychology. This research through method widespread collection projects and so on literature collection, interview, open style questionnaire, forms the trial survey questionnaire and the official questionnaire successively, in places such as Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Haikou, Changde, Shaoyang carries on the investigation, And then, statistical methods like exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, correlation analysis and multiva riate analysis of variance were applied for data analysis. The discussion school teachers professional plateau internal structure and the adjustment variable have been studied. Main conclusions of this research are as following:1 .The career plateau structure of Chinese teacher presents relatively independent And coordinate four-dimension structure: the emotion plateau, the life plateau, the skill plateau and the development plateau.2 .The teachers career plateau questionnaire has favorable split-half reliability, homogeneity reliability, content validity, construct validity and criterion-relatedvalidity, which accord with the demands of psychometrics.3 .The study discussed the professional pressure, the teaching potency feeling and the professional plateau, finally indicated that the teacher professional pressure has the remarkable forward influence to the professional plateau, the teaching potency feeling has the remarkable negative influence to the professional plateau, and teaching potency feeling to teacher professional pressure and professional plateau relational existence negative control action.4. The demographic variable have significant effect on career plateau or four dimension of teachers career plateau.
