A Study Of Sports Values Held By Disabled Senior School Students

To cultivate the disabled students' right sports value is an important way of developing the students' good personality. The value is an important part of the attitude from character construction. It is necessary to cultivate the disabled senior students' right value in order to building up their excellent personality. It is not born with the sports value. When one's self-awareness comes to a certain level, he can form his sport value by taking part in exercise and by the environment of exercise. Then the physical value will melt into one's personality and impact one's physical behavior. Therefore, I want to say cultivating the disabled students' right sports value is an important way to develop the students' excellent personality.The investigation targets:The investigation targets are from the Beijing deaf school and the Beijing blind school. They are composed of the blind, the deaf (both deaf and dummy) the dummy and the body deformed students.Based on literature review, survey, experts' advice and through the analysis of the open questionnaire done to the disabled students and the research interview with some others, this research put forward a theory hypothesis of sports values and further on compiled a preliminary questionnaire, thereby forming into a formal questionnaire after an analysis of exploratory factors through close questionnaire given to targets. The author also checks out the credibility and efficacy of this self-complied scale and applied it to the investigation on the disabled students again. And five discoveries are found as follows:1. The theory hypothesis of sports values was a multi-level and multi-dimensional model. It included two traits: the society trait and individual trait. The society trait included society economy, patriotism, society stabilization .The individual trait included education, communication, amusement, mental health, body-building. The physical value of the senior students is as the same as the common students.2. The disable students pay different attention to different dimensions, the order from much more attention to less is: body-building, patriotism, communication, education, mental health, amusement, society stabilization, society economy.3. The sports values of disabled students showed remarkable sex characteristic. The male pay more attention than the female in dimensions: body-building, communication, patriotism, amusement and education. The female pay less attention in dimensions: society stabilization and the society economy.4. The sports values of disabled students showed remarkable and complicated grade characteristic. The Grade Three pays more attention to body-building, communication and patriotism. The older students pay more attention to the society trait and individual trait than the younger students.5. The sports values of disabled students showed remarkable and complicated deformity sort characteristic. The blind pay more attention to the society trait, especially patriotism and society stabilization. The deaf and the dummy pay more attention to the collectivity value for example: patriotism, communication and amusement. The body deformed pays more attention to education and mental health. But all the students put the body-building on the first place.
