| Modern education attaches great importance to learning autonomy and learning cooperativeness. But the traditional grammar teaching is not able to meet the demand of the educational development and it tends to use the "transmission" method with much teacher's lecturing and students' passive listening. In such way of grammar teaching, students have few opportunities to take part in the class activities, and the atmosphere of the class is depressing. This not only fails to develop students' practical ability of language use but also violates rules of the language learning. English grammar teaching in junior schools is now faced with the instructional reform.The author points out that the adoption of group cooperative learning is promising to be the key to the problem of poor quality and low efficiency in junior English grammar learning.This thesis is based on the theory of the cooperative learning and gives consideration of practical context and characteristics of the middle school English grammar teaching. The researcher expatiates how to apply the strategy of the cooperative learning into grammar teaching practice in the middle school. Chapter I introduces the content, essential and essence of the theory of cooperative learning. After the statement of the designing of the experiment in Chapter II, Chapter III mainly describes the process of the whole experiment. Joining with the actual English teaching practice, in which the author carried out an experiment of cooperative approach to junior English grammar teaching. In Chapter IV the author states the results of this experiment research which proved the effect of the experimental research. In the last chapter the author draws conclusions of the study and gives some teaching suggestions. |
