Kindergarten's using family and community resources in science education means that kindergarten makes use of material resources and human resources in family and community settings to promote the development of children's science attitude, science experience, science emotion, science method and so on. The massive domestic and foreign studies indicates that family and community contain rich science education resources. Making full use of these resources can enrich children's experience, stimulate their action of exploration and influence their science emotions.This research uses the method of interview, observation and documentation analysis to gather information. By interviewing kindergartens' teachers, directors , parents, and community members, observing the science activities which using family and community resources, investigating community resources and analyzing the documentations collected from kindergartens, the research focuses on the values, resources contents, forms, strategies and influencing factors about the kindergarten's using family and community resources in science education.The results show that many achievements have been gained in family resources utilization. The teachers are aware of the important of family resources, take many forms to use family resources in science education, and explore certain strategies in practice. At the same time, there are still some difficulties, such as: inadequate understanding of the family resources' profound connotation; lack of instruction to parents' involvement in science education.The results also show that kindergartens have began to explore the using of community resources in science education. The teachers begin to find the useful community resources in science and take the field trip as the main way in using community resources. But there are several problems to be resolved. The teachers are not aware of the whole value of community resources; the teachers have to improve their abilities on using community resources to carry on science education; and the relationship between kindergarten and community should be strengthened.The research makes some suggestions on how to use family resources in science education: prompting the teachers' enthusiasm and the sense of mission on science education; giving more instructions to parents on how teaching children science; optimizing the management of family resources system.The research also brings forward some advice on how to use community resources in science education. To the kindergartens, they must enhance the initiative in reaching community resources; they should pay more attention on the characteristics of each kind of resources; the teachers should take more use of the form 'inviting resources to kindergarten'. To the community, the management of resources need more systematic, the service consciousness and service function to kindergartens should be reinforced, and the corporations between community organizations and education departments must be improved.
