As a ethnic minority, Tujia people has a long history and culture. At the circumstances of underdevelopment of school education in the history, the family oral education became the most important way to transfer the national culture to next generation effectively and the form of education preserved the unique culture and maintained social harmony and stability. With the reforming and opening policy's deepening, the western development strategy's implementation and the impetus of the economic globalization tide, these factors urged Tujia national minority society which was backward originally into exchanges with the outside day by day. The social culture in many aspects is experiencing dominance or recessive changes. In the situation of people's appealing to the preservation national tradition excellent culture, the question about how the Tujia minority integrates the modernization process and it can be able to preserve its national characteristics at the same time. The question is worth pondering.In this paper, the author took the family of Qinshi at Shi Men county as object of study. Through the perspectives of education, cultural anthropology, ethnology, the paper analyzes the changes of a family in a special period and reflected the educational development of Tujia in the historical period in order to reveal the impact of social changes on the nation. The author hope that this study will have some inspirations to the development of the Tujia under s in the present social context of major changes.The paper has four parts.The first part explains the background, meaning, research ideas, innovations, problems of the paper.Through The second part introduces the education of the children of the Qinshi family of Tusi and the children's education of the local respectively. Through the introduction of the family's oral education, this part focued on education of Tujia and showed the characteristics of hierarchy, practice, teaching by entertaining and ethnic personality.The third part introduced the situation of thriving and development of school education in the place of the family of Qinshi, the situation of education of the persons of the family of Qinshi, the changes of the oral education of the family. Through the changes above, this part also reflected the changes of educational ideas, educational objects, educational styles and educational content and reflected the affecting of the social changes to the family of Qinshi.The fourth part had a summary of school education, oral education of the family and reflected that social changes had some impacts on Qinshi family. This part analyzed the changes of society and culture, education from aspects of the anthropology, education, ethnology so as to explore the reform and development of Tujia at the modern context.
