Design And Apply Of IT Supported Inquiry Learning Environment

As to the inquiry learning,learning is the main factor.Learning environment is the exterior condition that decides the result directly.In order to expand the inquiry learning more successfully, we have to set up proper learning environment as exterior support.However,there are a series of problems in the course of developing inquiry learning,such as:teachers do not cognize the study environment adequately and pay little attention to creating learning environment for students; tutors are short of guidance of operational theories;the assessment system of inquiry learning is distempered;the instructional management is outdated,etc.In order to solve those problems and explore how information technology is applied to inquiry learning,the thesis studies out the fundamental research theme as follows:how to put the information technology into the instructional design of inquiry learning and which kind of inquiry learning environment should be set up to promote the study of students and the guidance of teachers.According to basic research problems,author focuses on three aspects to expand research as follows:(1)Creating the information technology supported inquiry learning environment.On the basis of arranging the related researches,for the requirement that the students carry out and the teachers direct the inquiry learning,author design the frame of inquiry learning environment supported by information technology,that frame includes four layer spaces:the projects space,the operation space,the support space,surrounding environment,and eight factors:projects,resources, tools,scaffolds,learning community,management,evaluation,surrounding environment,it gives us the concept frame to design and actualize inquiry learning environment.(2)The design and development of inquiry learning network platform.As the example of the creating information technology supported inquiry learning environment.Taking the frame of inquiry learning environment supported by information technology as the basis,firstly author gives an analysis of key factors,then designs the platform from the demand definition,finally develops the network platform according to the design.(3)Some practice researches based on the inquiry learning environment.Basing on the established inquiry learning network platform and the inquiry learning environment frame model, author has done some experiments on the inquiry learning environment supported by IT in a particular Shanghai middle school,and summarizes effects of inquiry learning environment supported by IT in instruction.Therefore,basically,as a result of the experiments above,it is useful to provide IT supported inquiry learning environment,this will make very good support on learner's inquiry learning,such as the projects,resources,tools,...managements,evaluation,and this will finally improve the effectivity of instructing and learning.
