In psychology, Alter refers to the course that people charge the nonessential attribute of matters to disclose their essential attribute from different angles, aspects and modes. It is of great significance to resurvey chemistry Alter Teaching and illustrate its methods as well as theories, which has far-reaching meanings at present. The aims of the research lie in:1st Searching the meanings of chemistry Alter Teaching and finding out its theoretical basis.2nd Exploring the operation tactics and reason in current chemistry Alter Teaching.3nd Reseaching the operation tactics from the examples and the practice angle.The basic idea of Alter is to carry out the transformations of chemistry concepts, laws, formulas, exercises and experiments, using different knowledge and methods, meanwhile leading the students to discovering the essence of invariabilities, cultivating the flexible ideation of students gradually, improving their abilities to meet the emergency, inspiring their enthusiasm and go-aheadism in chemistry study and cultivating their quest for exploration and creation. Chemistry Alter reflects the spirits of the new course.From certain aspects fully the students can have a better understanding of concepts and a profound application according to the training of Alter with wider minds and more flexible ideations. The teachers can study teaching methods further establish a solid foundation for chemistry education research and provide a creative environment for students on basis of a deeper understanding of the textbooks by putting forward question situations. The teacher can lead the students to considering the solutions to the problems from different aspects by changing the contents, conclusions and figures, exerting their creative potential, inspiring the creative motivations and building up their personalities.The paper puts the idea of Alter into practice of chemistry teaching and develops the understanding of Alter. The basic knowledge for Alter teaching was briefly introduced in first chapter; Chapter 2 analyses the status of applying Alter teaching in chemistry teaching. In the following chapter, it is presented in more details that Alter teaching was applied to chemistry concepts, exercises and examples, experimental teaching and so on. The effects of Alter teaching are generalized in chapter 4. In Chapter 5, the effect of appling Alter teaching was analyzed. Finally, some advices for researching Alter teaching are proposed.
