The Teaching Experiment Of The Algorithm Preliminary In The High School Mathematics

People have stepped into 21st century, an information-based period represented by computers. As a fully new subject, arithmetic has become important basis of computer science, and as a content of information, it has been listed in mathematics curriculum of senior high school as compulsory content for information attainment is necessary for everybody. In"General Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard (Experiment)"(2003.4),"arithmetic accidence"is listed in the five modules of compulsory courses (Compulsory Part 3 of Mathematics). Arithmetic is a new content in mathematics course, no existing experience can be used for reference during teaching process, which raises a challenge for senior high school mathematics teachers, and how to teach"arithmetic accidence"becomes a focus for every senior high school mathematics teacher.This paper probes into teaching methods of arithmetic contents by means of investigation, interview, test and teaching experiment etc. According to the investigation, senior high school mathematics teachers'understanding and preparation for arithmetic and arithmetic instruction are not ideal, especially teachers in remote areas (investigation details are as appendixâ… ). Following main problems exist among the teachers: 1. have no clear understanding about arithmetic concept and computer concept; 2. not familiar with arithmetic contents in the new course; 3. short of computer information. After some teaching experiments, I summarized some teaching methods about"arithmetic accidence"which can be used as references for other teachers.Therefore, this paper includes two sections, sectionâ… pays emphasis on overview of"arithmetic accidence"and expresses connotations of"arithmetic"and"computer algorithm", i.e.,"arithmetic"is an effective mechanical process to solve problems and"computer algorithm"indicates the mechanical process for a computer to solve a kind of problems. Meanwhile,"arithmetic accidence"in senior high school mathematics course and its requirements are included; moreover, this paper analyzes the feasibility of training students with computer algorithm through arithmetic accidence in view of contents, modes and characteristics.Sectionâ…¡of this paper attaches importance on teaching experiments of"arithmetic accidence"and expresses the target and method of"arithmetic accidence"teaching experiment as well as teaching experiment process; meanwhile, the relationship between teaching method of"arithmetic accidence"in senior high school course and training computer ability of senior high school students is gained by means of analyzing teaching experiment results; finally, this paper lists several problems about arithmetic teaching for further research.
