In today's world, with the rapid development of science and technology,progress is made every day,this has driven new requirements for contemporary skills of people, at the same time ,the education is given a new challenge. The higher ability to learn has become a quality requisite to the contemporary teenagers. Therefore, the important objective of the education must be to develop the students'learning ability and to teach the students how to learn. This has received universal approval and recognition from all countries in the world, and has become the trend of the worldwide educational reform.In recent years, the physics experts and teachers who are working at teaching reform has done continuous study and exploration. Combining the knowledge imparting with ability developing while the teachers'notion of education changing, they make the students concern the learning process and method, acquire the basic knowledge and skill requisite to the lifelong learning by developing the students'learning ability. They have made it an important task of physics teaching to develop spirit of innovation and practical ability. In the thesis, the author will discuss how to enhance the physics learning ability of the middle- school students on the basis of achievements it had attained in research.In the thesis, by analysis the physics learning ability, the author has put forward four basic learning ability requisite to physics learning, they are observing ability, language ability, thinking ability and operating ability. And the teaching method to enhance the physics learning ability of the middle-school students was explored and tested in the physics teaching. Results showed that the teaching method was able to develop and enhance the physics learning ability of middle-school students effectively. However, due to the special nature of practical education, and limited ability, time, conditions and other factors, this thesis presents the teaching theory and the teaching mode of improving the middle-school students' physics learning ability, there is much work to be further explored and studied in practical teaching especially.
