With the advancement of information-based education, the problem of how to conduct teachers'professional development is seriously concerned by every country, which is also an importment subject in the process of educational reform in our country. The teachers'professional development is not only the process of acquisition of subject knowledge, pedagogy and psychology knowledge ,but also the process of acquiring practical knowledge relating to instruction. Reflection is an effective way to facilitate teachers'professional development. The common reflection approaches consist of educational narrate, reflective diary, academic study, micro-teaching, mutual view and emulate, dialogue and establishing files. However, the teachers'professional development in modern society is inseparable from corresponding technical support. The web-based environment for teachers'professional development can promote the depth and extent of reflection, which can also minimize the restrictions for mutual exchange and the sharing of knowledge between teachers. But no web-based tools are found except BLOG when searching literature. Therefore, the author designs the WIKI web-based environment to support the teachers'professional development and do the following work with the hope of providing new thoughts for the issue.Firstly, an brief introduce is given about the teachers'professional development, including the connotation,several notions and the theoretical basis. Secondly, the article analyzes the relationship between BLOG and the teachers'professional development. Some scholars dispute that although BLOG is now commonly used for teachers'professional development, it has many disadvantages. So the author answers the question by theoretical analysis and statistical analysis. The results show that it is difficult to play greater role for BLOG in the field of teachers'professional development because of its natural characteristics of personality.Thirdly, the article detailedly analyzes the application of WIKI for teachers'professional development. WIKI is another web-based writing tool after BLOG. Comparing with BLOG, WIKI is characteristic of equality,collaboration and sharing. The article starts with the characters of WIKI and analyzes particularly the possibilities and influences of WIKI in suppport of teachers'professional development. Based on above work, the author constructs a mode chart of WIKI for supporting teachers'professional development, and designs the component modules of WIKI system. In a word, the possibility and rationality are fully testified from the theoretical level.Fourthly, JSPWiki engine is used to establish a web-based WIKI environment. At the end of tryout, the author carries out a questionnaire,which shows that both the mode chart of WIKI and the JSPWiki platform meet with the prospective aims basically.
