Inquiry learning is one part of inquiry-based learning arranged in our country's new curriculum system of basic education and a bright point of new curriculum change. It has characteristic of openness, exploration and practice. It values student's interest and idea, changes teaching style of single impartment and learning style of rote. Inquiry learning based on student interest makes two educational themes, concerning student interest and inquiry spirit, into composition of forces, and comes true student comprehensive character development by interest's dynamical effect. The implementation of inquiry learning provides teachers an approach to practice new curriculum. Student interest is one of reasons to arrange and implement inquiry learning and valuable greatly to student development. But, many problems of student "interest" transformation were led by historical or realistic excuses in the process of implementation of inquiry learning, so need to be studied and solved urgently.Based on this, during the two years inquiry study in H middle school in Shanghai, this thesis observes and studies such following phenomena as students' different ideas of interests, the unsteady interests and the difficult development of inquiry study. In the form of cases, this thesis develops the whole study process. It focuses on the description of the change of students' interests in inquiry study, and exploration of the reasons behind the problem , and three measures to settle this problem. The aim is to explore the reasons of the problem and come up with the measures and suggestions to improve it. I hope this research will enlighten and help the teachers who direct the inquiry study.
