autonomous learning is not only a learning means that the developing time demands, but one of initiative study ways to advocate the current curriculum reforms .The autonomous learning ability of students' has become the teaching focus of attention to the present subjects. The author hopes that it enables the teachers to understand more about autonomous learning, the use of teaching style on autonomous learning in biology teaching in high schools, the optimization of teaching process through this study.The present paper consists of three parts: the introduction, the main text and the conclusion. The first part and the second part of the main text elaborate the significance of the autonomous learning in biology teaching in the middle school as well as the related theories. The third part details the concept of independent study, the connotation and the main characteristic.Part V and Part IV are the core of this thesis. In both parts, the author has conducted an investigation and a test to the present situations of sophomores' independent study and carries on the analysis through the statistical data, which has discovered a bigger problem in the approaches of the students' study, while the previous theory indicates there is a great relation between high or low levels in learning strategies and the good or bad grades. Through the research on the domestic and foreign theories , that of autonomous learning practice, I proposed seven instructing strategies for raising high school students' learning capability of dependent study in biology, unifying biological teaching experience for many years. what's more, I have initially constructed the classroom teaching style of the guidance to the students who dependently study. After the style has been used in classroom teaching practice for four months , the results and the findings show that the teaching style can effectively promote awareness of autonomous learning students and the enhancement of autonomous learning capabilities.The sixth part is the conclusion and the deficiency of the research that obtains, which expects to be shared and discussed further together with the general colleagues.
