The essence of assessment is one kind of value judgment. The curriculum assessment studies the process and the activity of the curriculum value judgment. This article thought the value main body of the curriculum assessment is the society and the student dual value main body under the value philosophy theory. The curriculum assessment is the value judgment on whether the curriculum can satisfy the need of main body. Therefore, the index system of the curriculum assessment must contain social and student's dual value need. On investigation it has been found that the index system of the curriculum assessment under the modern scientific paradigm has many shortcomings. Based on criticizing scientific paradigm, borrowing ideas from view of assessment which is one kind of dynamic development and multivariate main body under the postmodern paradigm, the view of curriculum assessment that pays more attention to the students' main body status and lays emphasis on the development in the process of the curriculum assessment has formed .The building of scientific and reasonable index system for university curriculum assessment establishes the basic value orientation for the construction and reform of the college curriculum. So it becomes the core issue of the college curriculum. This paper, taking the postmodern theory as the guiding ideology, a philosophy based on values, using the method of empirical study, builds the index system of the university curriculum assessment which can meet the needs of not only the society but also the students from the cultural attributes of curriculum. The author only takes the human literary & social science curriculum group as the example to study and build the index system of the university curriculum assessment, considering the difference of the science and arts in the process of the university curriculum assessment as well as the limited time. Meanwhile, in the process of building index system for university curriculum assessment under postmodern paradigm, the establishment of index system, based on the questionnaires of college students and specialistic teachers, uses the statistical methods of factor analysis to get the first and two-level index, and then use Precedece Chart to determine the weight of the index, therefore, it has higher reliability and validity.
