The Research On University Dormitory Culture In The New Era

University Dormitory Culture is a concept with rich and complex content. Due to the different understanding of "Culture" and "Campus Culture", as well as the different perspectives of analysis means, people always have different interpretations of "Dormitory Culture". University Dormitory Culture has been divided into four layers in this paper, such as spiritual cultural, institutional culture, behavior cultural and material cultural.From the general meaning of culture, this paper explores the meaning and the content of the University Dormitory Culture and reveals the necessity and importance of building University Dormitory Culture in the new era. Questionnaire Survey, named as "Status of University Dormitory Culture Investigation", has been used to gather information on 300 students in one Wuhan university .I use SPSS11.5 to analyse the result, collected by the survey. With Cases Interviews, I see deep meaning of University Dormitory Cultural status in the new era.Exploring how to construct the University Dormitory Culture is an important goal of this paper. Based on the data which collected by the survey, this paper try to find the existed problem from the spirit layer of University Dormitory Culture, the institutional layer, the behavior layer and the material layer. On the spirit layer ,we need to create a harmonious cultural atmosphere. On the institutional layer , the contradictions exist between "machinery management" mode and "People-oriented" mode. On the behavior layer, we need to explore the conduct norms in the background of community-based network . On the material layer, we need to create elegant, comfortable, humanity material environment.In this paper, I reflect the status of the building of China's University Dormitory Culture. China's universities follow the ways of the "function division" which created by the Western University , This paper exposes the shortcomings of simple imitating Universities of Western forms. Whether the university or the community property management companies have to make clearly that management and service are targeted at college students.,who are the main body of construction. From the choosing sites,designing,constructing various facilities of dormitory ,to the service management, we have to integrate Dormitory Culture building and moral education ,and build a good education environment .what's more we need to promptly identify problems and actively improve them .
