Aesthetic pedagogy is a concept which usually appears in the educational and teaching research currently. According to the research circumstance on aesthetic pedagogy at home and abroad, not a few researchers have already paid attention to this kind of problem very much. The history is a subject which has synthetic characteristic. This characteristic decides that the history education not only has political value, rational value, ethics value, science value, thinking value, but also has aesthetic value. The process of the history education should be a process to discover beauty and appreciate beauty. The important mission and target of the history education is to develop the ability of appreciating beauty and creating beauty, and the exaltation of students'ability of appreciating beauty also will promote their development of comprehensive qualities by all means.The characteristics of art high school decide the particularity of students'community. Their professional lessons, such as music, art, dancing, are all about aesthetic and all important manifestation of art. So it seems especially important about how to give aesthetic education to these students, which is doubtless beneficial to the fast formation of their aesthetic personality and promotes them to make more substantial progress in the professional aspect. Because the cultural lesson hour in art schools is much less than that in common high schools, it becomes a problem which deserves concern that how teachers do to inspire students'interest in study in the limited time, complete teaching mission and promote students'comprehensive development.This text is based on the theory, such as pedagogy, psychology, aesthetic theory and psychology of aesthetic pedagogy etc., and the author combines own history teaching experience in practice by the research ways, such as, observation, literature research, analysis and puts forward the function, content, principle and concrete ways of aesthetic pedagogy in history teaching in art high schools.The text includes following parts:Lead in: Introduce the concept of aesthetic pedagogy, research at home and abroad and the significance of the topic choicePart One: Expatiate the function of aesthetic pedagogy in history teaching from the following aspects: increase capacity of aesthetic, promote the formation of aesthetic personality, develop the creative mind, build creative personality, promote moral development, strengthen the moral effect, promote professional development and train harmonious talents.Part Two: Discuss the content of aesthetic pedagogy in history teaching in art high school from the beauty of society, nature, art and science.Part Three: Discuss the basic principle of aesthetic pedagogy in history teaching from image, pleasure, freedom and universality. Part Four: Introduce the approach of aesthetic pedagogy in history teaching in art high school that is based on the analyses on art high schools students'characteristics.
