| Educational assessment is the most directly, the most extensive and the most apt to cause social concern educating and appraising in educational reform. Under the background of present educational reform, the teacher can't only pay close attention to the situations of mastering the knowledge and technical ability, but also pay attention to student's latent energy in many aspects. This puts forward new challenge on assessing practice, and must change the situation that traditional assessment relies on standardized test excessively, then further develop and use more effective and scientific conception ways of assessment.The research starts from theory to practice, and has a brief review of the theories of educational assessment. Under the guidance of these theories, the author has attempted the different ways of assessments to develop students' abilities. This illustrates the effect of assessment theoretically and practically.With the studying approach of documents, this research has a theoretical frame. For the purposes of holding orientation of student assessment, getting information about the results and problems of assessment programs, this research has adopted investigation, case study and interviews in order to make better decisions and to make these assessment programs more efficient.The paper is described the foliowings: First of all, in terms of the background of reality and theory, the research has analyzed the deficiency of the current student assessment, then on the basis of relative theories, the research has found its foundation of the theories. Secondly, after consulting domestic, city and district curriculum standards, the research has establishes "3 levels and 3 grades" student assessment standards in spoken English. Moreover, on the basis of the standards, the research has established four different student assessment programs and put them into practice. The research explained the value of assessment programs in practice, proved that it is a response to the modern view of assessment, and the importance to the development of student assessment.The place of innovation of this research mainly reflects in the followings: First, compared with domestic similar research, this research lays particular emphasis on the application of student assessment. Not merely stays at theory research, but also deep into practice. Second, this paper embodies three-direction-objectives from beginning to end. Meanwhile, it combined student assessment to school traditional culture. Third, the research studies the syntheses of assessment standards and assessment ways. So it has realistic significance. For this reason, it becomes another innovation of this research. |
