Teachers play an important role in education, on the one hand depending on the quality of teachers and the development of the level teachers' professional ethics, on the other hand depending on the establishment of a reasonable and effective management system of teachers. Teacher education research is the basis for improving the quality and professional ethics of teachers, and the research of teacher evaluation is the most important aspect in establishing teachers' management system.Therefore, how to improve the colleges' human resources management, especially the effective performance management of teachers, playing the teachers' best level, has become an important research project of colleges' personnel management in recent years.Unlike performance management of enterprises, performance management of teachers has its own characteristics. Due to the particularity of the teaching profession, it makes the performance management of college teachers more challenging and complex. With our country's extensive development of performance evaluation of college teachers and extensive study of teachers' performance, contextual performance has become a research focus of performance evaluation. Starting with basic conception of performance, the paper analyzes theories of contextual performance of different backgrounds and discusses the connotation and characters of contextual performance. The paper also defines the contextual performance of colleges and universities, by comparative study of contextual performance and task performance, and has a comprehensive analysis of present situation characteristics and main problems of performance management of colleges and universities. After the analysis of the modifying factors of the contextual performance of collegeteachers, using Delphi,AHP and other scientific and reasonable methods, the paper sets up a contextual performance evaluation system of college teachers. On this basis, the paper designs a contextual performance management process referring to "PDCA", and introduces Process Capability Index to the process. By diagnosing the contextual performance management of college's teachers, the level of contextual performance management can be improved well.
