Higher vocational education, as a mode of education closely relevant to social economy, has brought up a great number of talents and advanced the economic development, which is proved by developed countries.Higher vocational education, as a mode of education closely relevant to social economy, has brought up a great number of talents and advanced the economic development, which is proved by developed countries.Since 1970s, Australian higher vocational education (TAFE) has achieved rapid development and great success, and evolved a talent training mode of its own. With further exchange of economy or culture between China and Australia, it is of far-reaching significance to draw on the experience of TAFE by investigating its talent training mode and summarizing regulariy feature.This essay consisted of preface and the other four parts:Preface: This part introduced the significance and methods of this study. In addition, it described the definition of TAFE.Part one: Outline of TAFE. It discussed the role and status of TAFE talent training mode, which developed under the guideline of through-life education focusing on personal ability and aiming at employment, in the vocational education system. Part two: Framework of TAFE. It described the Australian Qualifications Framework and Training at the macroscopic level in detail, which is of great importance to the further understanding of TAFE.Part three: The study on talent training mode of TAFE. As the key part of this assay, it consisted of objectives, specialities, curriculum model, talent training, staff issues and the summary and evaluation of the above five aspects.Part four: The reference and inspiration of TAFE to Chinese higher vocational education. In this part, the problems of higher vocational education talent training in China were displayed, and opinions on the development of our national higher vocational education were put forward by learning experience from TAFE.
