Research On The Existing Problems And Countermeasures Of Undergraduate Teaching Quality Evaluation In Chinese Colleges And Universities

The Undergraduate Teaching Quality Evaluation in Chinese Colleges and Universities (UTQE for short.) is an important mean of which China's educational and administrative departments use to manage and control higher education in a macroscopically way. Research on UTQE is an important task to ensure the higher education's quality. However, UTQE in China is still in its infancy, the related research is lagging. At the end of the first "five-year round" of UTQE coming, making some researches on its problems is necessary. Under the viewing of combining Chinese local condition with the developed rule of international higher education, this paper uses the research method of "analysis - reflection - construction"to analyze the problems on present UTQE and attempt to find the correlative strategies, and aims at providing theoretic references to improve Chinese UTQE system effectively.The paper is divided into three parts. In the first, it includes introduction, the knowledge and significance of UTQE. The second section analyzes the problems. This part surveys and analyzes UTQE comprehensively from the macro-aspect (Chinese national condition and environment of the educational system) to micro-aspect (problems of UTQE). Strategies research is the last part, which solves the problems of the second section, including breeding the healthy culture of UTQE, reinforcing the construction of social evaluating medi-organization, and establishing some systems such as meta-appraisement to improve Chinese UTQE and insure the quality.
