| Universities shoulder the important historic mission of training the constructors and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Human resources in universities are the hope and future of the nation. Communities have a profound and far-reaching effect on the thought cognition, mental level, interest and efficiency of study and work, socialization and some other aspects of individual college student. So there is a close relationship between the development of this group and that of universities and societies. Reform and opening and renewal of education idea make us accept the diversification value pursuit of undergraduates with more tolerance and understanding; however that does not mean indulgence. How to strengthen the education and guidance to the students, meet their requirements of hankering progress and development is a problem that we should attach importance to, and it is also the duty-bound responsibility and mission of universities. The dissertation is composed of three parts:The first part mainly describes the general situation of undergraduate communities, including the definition, characteristics and classification. College students attract more attention of the society and their learning and living are mainly fulfilled in the campus. No matter which degrees they study, how old they are, they have to live and develop as students from the entrance to graduation and communities play an important part in their lives. Undergraduate communities are defined as students'aggregates combined with each other through sustained interaction, common activities and interests. Besides some common characteristics with other society communities, they also have a number of its own characters. Because the college students, chosen out through national unified organized college entrance examination, are not simple combinations of a group of people, but composed of youth of similar ages, similar physical and psychological development, and uniform education background and equilibrium knowledge structure. Compared with other society communities, there are some distinct characteristics such as clear value goal, more strict code of conduct, specified group consciousness, normative organization, definite division of labor and relatively stable constitution. Meanwhile, according to the properties, characteristics and roles of different students groups, this dissertation divides undergraduate communities into seven categories: stipulated, intentional, social, incidental, patriotic, foreign and virtual network groups.Part two presents the positive and negative effects of student community on the development of undergraduates and the interaction between individuals and groups. College students are of the highest level education and culture among youth communities. Due to the strong identity of group consciousness, high connection frequency, big interactive influence and common goals, community demands are easily generated. Under the push of this requirement, the speed and intensity of undergraduate behavior infection is far greater than their other mental action. It can be realized only with the help of groups, by some certain group relationships and behaviors and consequently meet the basic needs of students developments as independent individuals. Undergraduate groups play an important, irreplaceable and imperceptible role in promoting the individual sense to the group environmental, improving moral cognition capability, developing their interpersonal communication skills, completing their socialization process and so on. At the same time, college students are not mature enough in mentality and body so they have characteristics of excitement, impulse, no clear life goal, not enough social experience and simple mind because of their age factor. Under the lower level guidance, students are easily affected by the things happened around or stories performed on film and television. Even some imitational and mass following behaviors, such as consumption, amativeness and job hunting, appear only because of intuition. For these reasons, community members who are prompted by group passion sometimes lose their self-responsibility due to the same target. They don't have strong sense of self value and behavior and individuation by immersing in the group. Furthermore, undergraduates have different effects and influences on groups because of the various roles in different communities.In the third part, the dissertation raises a few points on management and guidance to college students based on the thought of community influence on individuals. First, strengthen the management and instruction of mental health. College students should not only have good ideological, moral, cultural, professional, and physical qualities, but also great psychological quality. In order to strengthen the psychological quality education, we should begin with the following aspects: establishing and perfecting college mental health system, fully carrying out mental health education propagandas, consultation and activities, grasping the development trend and differences of the undergraduates mental health, taking active and effective methods to carry out staggered psychological adjustment, guiding college students to fulfill self-psychological adjustment, strengthening construction of campus culture and creating a good psychological social environment. Second, strengthen the management and guidance to students organized associations. In the past decade, the university reform has provided a good development opportunity for students associations. The organizations have increased significantly in both the number and forms, which have become indispensable part in universities. However, due to the short time development of the communities, there are many problems themselves. We should start with the following aspects to enhance the management and guidance : establishing and perfecting leadership structure, improving and perfecting management approaches, strengthening political leadership, fully developing the effect of"two courses"teachers, supporting students associations, enhancing the guidance to students union, increasing investment in the development of student clubs and constantly innovating work methods. Third, strengthen the management and guidance to students'network groups. With the growing popularization of internet in campus, how to do well in the education and management becomes an important subject that the ideological and political educators in new era faced. It is the new challenge that modern scientific and technological progress bring to the education. To strengthen the management and guidance of college student network groups, following aspects should be carried out: adhering to combine education and management, persevering in combining organizational management with self-management, enhancing the horizontal communications among colleges and vertical communications between online and offline. Fourthly, strengthen the management and guidance to the behavior of college communities. A big part of incidents have happened for the reason that their legitimate needs have not been met or personal interests have been violated. The generation, progress, intensity and other problems are closely related to the evolution of group psychology. Therefore, universities should prevent and treat college students groups based on the people-centered concept, set up open channels of communication and dialogue, improve the regulations and integrate group psychology into ideological education, form a joint force and put network students'club culture into the construction of campus culture. |
