With the deepening of globalization of Higher Education, student mobility has become more frequent. Against this background, international students'adjustments have been highlighted. As the main task for international students abroad is to study, their adjustment to a foreign country is academically focused. This study aims to carry out a research on Chinese students'overseas academic adjustments.Four hundred and fifty-four Chinese students studying abroad participated in the online questionnaires and three students took part in the interview. The results show that most of the Chinese overseas students are self-confident about their academic ability and performance and make positive evaluation towards their academic progress. However, Chinese students also report that they have difficulty in communicating with foreign teachers and fellow students. The study finds that there is a correlation between students'language skills, time invested on studying and their academic adjustment. The study suggested that before going abroad, Chinese students should invest more time and effort in improving their language skills and be financially and psychologically well-prepared. In the meanwhile, the Education section at the Embassy of the PR China across the world should also play an important role in helping Chinese students to improve their academic adjustment.
