Research On The Interactive Teaching Method In Ancient Academies

Ancient academies, which appeared during the Tang Dynasty, was a typical educational institution with the function of book-collecting, teaching and sacrificing and lasted more than a thousand of years. As the ancient higher educational organization, ancient academy had accumulated a wealth of teaching experience in her long journey of running schoolAdopting the methods of document and history, this thesis analysis the conditions and causes of the form of the teaching style in ancient academy, expounds the interaction features and probes the guidance and reference for higher education of the present time.The basic features of ancient academy teaching are mainly showed in the following aspects, they are the teaching method, teaching attitude and teaching environment; and its formation relies on the social civilization background of ancient academy's prosperity and the establishment of its educational system. The complete system of Confucian philosophical school and the teaching of emphasizing dependence and create are its thought foundation. Independence learning study and school are its learning foundation.The teaching in ancient academy shows the following characteristics: students-centered instruction, inspiring students to study on their own in the process of teaching, encouraging students to interrogate and raise questions for discussion, heeding the guidance for students' learning methods, promoting academic exchange and setting up an equal, harmonious teacher-student relationship. All of the above forms the feature of interactive, including self-interaction, interpersonal interaction and man-environment interaction.Putting forward the interactive teaching method and using it properly can enhance the students' learning independence and their initiative and promote students' creativity.
