| After having surveyed and analyzed the basic condition, training status and political, cultural, professional, mental qualities of martial art teachers in Henan martial art schools by such methods as reference, survey, talking, observation, data statistics, analysis and induction, this thesis comes to the following conclusion:1. The age structure of martial art teachers is basically appropriate, The majority of them are young teachers.2. Their sports technical levels are low. Only 40% of them are first-class sportsman。3. The ratio of male and female martial art teachers is inappropriate. Women much fewer than men teachers.4. The academic certificate level of martial art teachers is low. Few of them have received higher education.5. 77.4% of martial art teachers have received coach training course. Low academic basis of these martial art teachers and short time are the two major reasons that affects training quality.6. Among various mental qualities martial art teachers are supposed to have, professionalism, devotion, communalism, uprightness and love for the career are the most important. The survey reflects their lack of professionalism, devotion and communalism.7. Among academic qualities martial art teachers are lack of academic knowledge, especially that of foreign languages, physical science, computer science, psychology and some basic theoretical knowledge.8. Martial art teachers show that except for teaching and training abilities, they are not confident with those other abilities, especially that of researching and self-teaching.9. Martial art teachers lack of self-control, creativeness, optimistic attitude and endurance to hardships.The following suggestions are put forward concerning the analysis of the current conditions of martial art teachers:1. Make full use of the weekly political studies and democratic meetings of party and league members to strengthen professionalism, devotion and communalism of martial art teachers.2. Improve the structure of teaching faculty and certificate level, thus enhance the academic and professional qualities of martial art teachers by introducing higher talents, raising their payment etc.3. Restructure teachers'educational concept, talent quality concept in order to enhance their professional ethics, humanity quality, professional techniques, theoretical level and scientific researching ability in various ways such as self-teaching, training, short courses etc.4. Select the right leader for the course. Work out a scientific plan for the selection, cultivation and competition of this title so that there is equal competition and rolling system in which the best is picked out. Only when a team of faculty with creative ability is built can the teaching and training quality of martial art be constantly improved and the development of martial art as a sport be pushed forward. |
