The Analysis And Design For The RMIS Of The Universities

There are some problems in the research management information system (RMIS) of the universities, such as a lower level of standardization and interaction. This makes the existing research management system is far from satisfying the needs of schools and other departments. Along with the constant development of information technology and the role of colleges and universities in the research activities and functions, the original type and scope of research management information system have developed. Therefore, the research and design of university research management system should be based on the new actual needs and keep on develop.In this paper, based on the five steps of management information system development cycle, using the methodology of experience and engineering, we analyzed the factors, including research, management and information, of RMIS among their own characteristics and their mutual relationship. In the stage of system analysis, by setting up a comparative analysis of the management of research institutions of the universities at home and abroad, we can conclude : there are a bottom-up research management levels of management layers, and this kind of hierarchical management style is still obvious in the research management of universities in China. Therefore, it should follow the hierarchical management model first before we want to construct the university research management information system. And by a analysis of the horizontal structure of management of scientific research institution we arrived at a conclusion. Through analysis we can find, it is the need of the management of research as well as the research development itself that the external research information should be put into the university's own research management system. It's necessary to put the external research information into the university's own research management system. This determines it is necessary to add the management system function for external demand information management besides the traditional research management. Based on the analysis of organizational structure and management of scientific research information in the operational flow, Information may also needs to research external structural analysis and design process. In the stage of system design, it can be divided into four parts : the first part of the design is system function design. In this part, Firstly, the system function module division consists of 10 modules as the building elements, and on this basis, to build the entire system; And then, in response to user authorization system, it is divided into three levels according to the user's authority level; Finally horizontal structure of the school to discuss specific research needs for the management of information flow management, divided the number of sub-modules to work together to achieve the demand for information management functions. The second part of the system configuration design, the analysis of the functional requirements. In choosing the hardware and software, system reliability, stability is the precondition and basis according to the needs of design, procurement of hardware and software. Meanwhile, the analysis tells that both before and after application of the system may have different function, and the application may bring the change of the management of the research. The establishment of research management information systems can firstly bring increased time efficiency and, secondly, as part of the office's use of the network to replace the use of disposables, the long term economic benefits are considerable. Of course, there are also some limitations on the system especially in the system functions.
