There is a new round of biologic course reforming of senior high school education all over the country. To improve the scientific literacy of senior high school students is developed in Course Criteria of Biology. All the biology teachers are challenged by a new topic: what scientific literacy we should give to senior high school students and how to realize this goal in biology class. In the article, I quote literatures to prove my theory and have done case-study to discuss in how to develop students'biology literacy. And based on the definitions of biology scientific literacy and related terms, I analysis the main content of it and the research situation both inland and abroad. The article also discusses the rules which should be obeyed: enjoying rule, opening rule, democratic rule, independent rule, creative rule, successful rule. Additionally I advance four means to develop students'biology scientific literacy:â‘ By the teaching of biology science history, students'scientific attitude and world view will be developed.â‘¡We will encourage a exploring study attitude to bring up students'research technique and way.â‘¢By the reforming of experiment teaching to tamp the study basement of biology and to cultivate students'capability.â‘£By STS way in biology class, students'biologic scientific literacy are improved. Finally conclusion and suggestion are given.
