Research In The Development And Application Of Postgraduates' Consciousness Of Energy Conservation Scale

The consciousness of energy conservation is a key symbol of social civilization and improvement is the essence of constructing our energy conservation society. As the mainstream energy consumer in college and university, postgraduate, this unit of people who have a higher level education experience, the quality of their consciousness of energy conservation has a direct effect on the level of social energy conservation and also it is important for the society to create a better atmosphere of energy conservation and have a direct impact on instruction and cultivation/This research aims to analyze the key factors which influence postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation via the research of the development and application of postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation scale. Then, it will provide the basic measure tools and theory for the research, and also provide a decision instruction for the college energy management and education.The research basis of postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation: one is the research result of domestic and foreign researchers' in the field of energy conservation; the other is the research result of scale development. On this basis, this research collect the Chinese postgraduate style items by open questionnaire and expert interview; then we go on a pretest, modify the scale by the item analysis and factor analysis. Delete the unqualified item, then evaluate the scale by credibility test and efficiency test, finally, form the formal scale of postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation. The scale consists of 37 items and 3 dimensions. Generally speaking, the scale is basically tally with statistics requirement. Every index is nearly accepted by psychometrics. Constructing the measure tool for this special postgraduate group, try to provide the theory for consciousness of energy conservation rational research which is tended to be standardized. At last, by the data which is collected in the analysis of scale application result stat, we discuss the influence of demographic statistics variable and energy conservation education on the consciousness of energy conservation. It is concluded that consciousness of energy conservation is differed by gender, education experience, specialty and the degree they educated in consciousness of energy conservation.This research has two creative points:①Develop the scale of postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation. The research develop the＜Postgraduates' Consciousness of Energy Conservation Scale＞, fill in the blank of this field; provide the measure tool in measuring the postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation.②The scale development is oriented in Chinese postgraduates. The design of the dimension and item in the scale take the characteristic of the contemporary era postgraduates into consideration. The pretest and final scale application are all proceeded in Chinese postgraduates. The conclusion and suggestion are all aimed at Chinese postgraduates. As a result, this research is not only contributed in the field of Chinese postgraduates' consciousness of energy conservation but also make every Chinese postgraduates and administrators realize the importance of consciousness of energy conservation.
