How to enhance the educational quality of the students is always a hot issue which attracts a lot of concern. However, students do not have satisfactory performance as far as the learning efficiency and learning quality are concerned. For example, students cannot fully understand the new knowledge they learn or students cannot transfer the knowledge to other field. Additionally, students do not have satisfactory capability in problem solving. In order to improve this situation, we should take effort to help students to carry out meaningful learning and the meaningful learning is on the basis of the excellent cognition structure. Therefore, this thesis focuses on how to help the students to improve their cognition level and to optimize their cognition structure so that the learning efficiency can be assured.This thesis explorers and studies the impacts that the learning hierarchy concept which is created by Gagne has on how to optimize the cognition structure of the students. These impacts are the mainly displayed in the how to optimize students'structure of knowledge, how to promote the students'thinking quality and their rethink learning, how to enhance students'problem solving ability as well as how to change the students'learning methods.At present,"case learning"is widely used and it takes the teacher demonstrate and the students imitate the case as main instruction mode in the courses of computer graphics. The essence of the"case learning"is that it applies the motor skill teaching method to the intellectual skill teaching which will cause the machinery learning. This study tries to analyze the cause of low learning efficiency and consider the approach of improving by applying the theory of learning hierarchy. And this thesis takes the case in which the students of vocational school learn the computer 3D modeling course as an example. In this example, the thesis carries out action research for validating the assumptions, for the purpose to provide some suggestion for the teachers who struggle in the teaching front.
